Photos never really show how cold and wet an event truely is for the participants but I assure you the weather gods threw everything at us over the weekend... sun, rain, sleet and a grand finale of hailstones as we were packing up!

Nonetheless, nearly 3000 visitors to the castle tried have-ago-archery with the Purbrook Bowmen, saw combat, archery and living history displays with Raven Tor, and Jaki Lake did some excellent displays of mounted combat/training with her horse Bo.

Massive thank you to Mistress Morag, Toni, Gilly and Gemma for providing hot food during both days. Real team effort by one and all, and an excellent way to start the season.
