Arundel Castle Norman, 15th - 19th April 2021

Arundel Castle

Medieval Festival Easter Arundel Castle A stunning start to the event season at Arundel Castle with amazing weather and over 9000 visitors over the four days (Fri 2700, Sat 3019, Sun 2775, Mon 2700)...

Certainly the additional event day on Good Friday proved a bit of a shock to everyone's system this early in the year...

With additional have ago activities, additional musician (Jez), and Rob (Whatapalaver) visitors really did have a full day, and many people said they just didn't have time to see it all.

Great review on Trip Advisor is well deserved feedback as well.

To everyone a huge thank you...

The encampment looked great, some really impressive table displays, and everyone had groups of visitors listening to them at various points over the four days. Think Ben and Sarah get the 'I doft my hat in respect' for a really impressive awning display, the net work really was impressive... To the combatants, total respect as there were some excellent and outstanding fights...

Sundays capture the flag was one of the best, and funniest, I have ever seen (not sure I've laughed that much at anything for a long time)...

And some long over due recognition to Matt, now Sir Matthew Collins... To Jack, now adopted son and heir to the Earl of Arundel, hence Sir Jack de Albini of Arundel...

And to Gavin, now Sir Gavin Kerr of House Farenburg... Well deserved gentlemen...

Some excellent archery especially on the Sunday and Monday, and huge thanks to Lady Gudrun for running the line (and trying out some tactics as well)

Huge thanks to Morag and Courtney for the all the cooking, shopping and coordinating some excellent lunches...

And to all who assisted in the kitchen a huge thank you (assistance is always appreciated in food prep and serving and I was really impressed at how many willing hands there were)...

Special mention, and I can't believe I'm saying this, who saved not only my voice but my SANITY was Kevin (Hawking About)...

The PA is essential to what we both do and our shared frustration over the weekend was certainly eased by Kevin sorting out some level of PA coverage...

Assisting at set up and take down was also greatly appreciated... Cheers mate So a cracking start to 2022 Season and a huge thanks to everyone was able to attend attend and support the event. It is always greatly appreciated I assure you.
