Medieval Weekend, 18th - 19th June 2022

Arundel Castle

Medieval Weekend 18/19 June Arundel Castle.

Huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend this weekends event at the castle, certainly two days of very mixed weather... So there was sun, rain, wind, cold, rain, thunder and lightning, all very very frightening, but no Galileo...

Some great table displays, plenty of interaction with visitors from everyone, and although not the greatest number of of visitors all seemed very appreciative of everything they had seen, and done.

Great flying displays from Max and the birds, ably assisted by Kev (cheers for all your support and once again mate)...

Huge thanks to Morag and Courtney, sausage casserole was certainly a great hit, and to all who assisted in the preparation and serving of lunch. Combat and archery was a real joy to watch and commontate for this weekend...

With 6 combatants per day, doing three displays per day, two of which were very full on, there really was some impressive displays from everyone...

The outstanding fight for me was Andy House and John McGloin, with hand and a half sword on Sunday, hats off to you both gentlemen. Congratulations to Pete Dukes and Andy House for long overdue and well deserved 15th century knighthoods...

Well done to you both... A really great weekend, and huge thanks for making it a really successful two days...
