Day 1

Huge thanks to everyone who endured the weather today, greatly appreciated by visitors and the Castle Management.

Top marks to all the combatants, certainly wasn't easy out there, but respect to all who went out there and did something.

Gold Star to the Gladiators for stepping up to do an extra slot and enduring the cold and wet.

To all those who put so much time and effort into table displays, cracking job folks.

Hopefully more visitors will appreciate what you have done over the next two drier days, but all looked great.

Gold Star today I'm passing to Glenn in the 17th century who made so much effort yet most visitors just passed him by, and to Papa who did not stop interacting pretty much for 5 hours straight!

Onwards to drier days folks, and another well done to all for a very successful first day, despite the weather.

Day 2

Total contrast to yesterday's wet weather, with sunshine, blue skies and at times it was blooming hot.

Luckily the weather gods kept there peace until the evening when the skies opened again.

1700 visitors through the gates, and totally different audience, certainly more reactive and interactive with everyone.

Sunshine certainly lifted everyone's spirits and great to see plenty of interaction and great table displays.

Day 3

Well the penultimate day of the event certainly didn't disappoint in visitor numbers, action or hilarity.

Bit of wet stuff was a surprise to the forecast but another 1700 visitors through the gates were not disappointed with everything they saw or had a go at.

Huge thanks to everyone who attended, participated and supported the event, it really was a great way to end the big events season.

Huge thanks to Sam M and Jane C for the contribution to the the photo hoard, both today and over the weekend, and to everyone else who sent me additional pictures and videos, all much appreciated.

Biggest event for the group in what everyone brings and has on display, and I can only say the encampment and displays looked excellent, and it was well worth all your hard efforts I assure you.

Changes for next year's event will I hope encourage you all to add too and develop presentation and displays still further.

Well done all, hope to see everyone at some point at the remaining events, and at training which starts end of September.
